09.20.2015 - Blood On The Leaves Film Announces Local Cast
The producers of Pennsylvania-based independent film company Sideline Pictures are pleased to announce the cast of their upcoming survival drama Blood On The Leaves.
Submissions rolled in from around the country as dozens of actors auditioned for both lead and supporting roles.
The story of the film follows two polar opposites, the Hunter, a white middle-aged family man from rural Pennsylvania, and City Boy, a young black man from inner city Philadelphia. The Hunter and City Boy are forced to confront not only each other but also themselves in order to survive the forces of nature when a fallen tree pins down City Boy’s leg. When he pulls a gun on the Hunter who discovers the dead body he was trying to bury, their moral battle begins.
Headlining Blood On The Leaves as one of the two leads is Imani Khiry (“Relics,” “Made In Cleveland”). Khiry is a Cleveland-based actor who will portray City Boy, the troubled young man who gets trapped under the fallen tree. Also starring is Cincinnati actor Bill Nally (“Curveball” “Hindsight 2020”). Nally will play The Hunter, a family man caught in a dangerous situation.
Although the two leading actors are from Ohio, talented actors representing Pennsylvania fill out most of the supporting roles including Pittsburgh’s ownBrendon Taylor (“Running Circles,” “An Honest Man Is Hard To Find”) and Carl Clemons (“The Wire,” “Southpaw”) who both play conniving inner city gang members with big influence on the story.
Also based in Pittsburgh are cast members Cindy Fernandez as The Hunter’s Wife, John Furman as Hugh, Danny Kelly as Trooper Shaw, Petra Bryant, Patrick Stanny, and Aundre Artemus. Rounding out the cast and all the way from Maryland is Dallas White, who portrays the rookie PA State Trooper Bruce.
The cast and crew for Blood On The Leaves will begin filming on October 1 and shoot in several Pennsylvania towns such as Clarington, Brookville, DuBois, and Cooksburg.

09.15.2015 - Sideline Pictures Embarks On Micro-Budget Feature Film Production
“The team behind Blood On The Leaves, Sideline Pictures, is embarking on the massive undertaking that is producing and distributing a feature theatrical film. Vincent, Craig, and Ryan have worked extensively together over the last three years, and separately for many years prior producing quality works of narrative, commercial, and documentary filmmaking. Blood On The Leaves is the logical next step for the duo Vincent Barnard and Craig Inzana after producing the feature length web series, Blue Card a little over a year ago. For Ryan, having worked on a feature length documentary and brought the visually stunning Summer Hatch short film to life, the challenge of Blood On The Leaves is something he’s more than ready to tackle. Along with a very talented team of crew and cast, Blood On The Leaves is sure to stand out from the waves of independent films being produced across the country. More importantly, it will represent the Pennsylvania and Mid-west homes that the crew, producers, and cast are from. Sideline Pictures aims to use “Blood OnThe Leaves” as a catapult to create an equitable micro-budget film economy for local writers, directors, producers, crew, and cast. If this is something you’d like to help make happen, email us to talk about what way you can best contribute.
