Sideline Pictures Production Reel

The team behind Blood On The Leaves, Sideline Pictures, is embarking on the massive undertaking that is producing and distributing a feature theatrical film. Vincent, Craig, and Ryan have worked extensively together over the last three years, and separately for many years prior producing quality works of narrative, commercial, and documentary filmmaking.

Blood On The Leaves is the logical next step for the duo Vincent Barnard and Craig Inzana after producing the feature length web series, Blue Card a little over a year ago. For Ryan, having worked on a feature length documentary and brought the visually stunning Summer Hatch short film to life, the challenge of Blood On The Leaves is something he's more than ready to tackle. Along with a very talented team of crew and cast, Blood On The Leaves is sure to stand out from the waves of independent films being produced across the country.

More importantly, it will represent the Pennsylvania and Mid-west homes that the crew, producers, and cast are from. Sideline Pictures aims to use Blood On The Leaves as a catapult to create an equitable micro-budget film economy for local writers, directors, producers, crew, and cast. If this is something you'd like to help make happen, email us to talk about what way you can best contribute.

Check out this short teaser of Sideline Pictures' Productions so far:

Productions shown, in order, are Summer Hatch (Ryan), Hey Coach! The Sideline Story (Vincent), Flip Redux (Craig), Broken Down (Craig, Ryan, & Vincent), Heels on Wheels (Ryan & Vincent), Love Interrupted (Vincent & Craig), Sister Music Video (Vincent, Craig, & Ryan), Blue Card (Vincent & Craig), Place Beyond The Pines Scene Recreation (Vincent, Craig, & Ryan), and Zodiac Scene Recreation (Vincent, Craig, & Ryan).

PictureVincent, Craig, and Ryan at the DuBois pitch session
There is always something to be actively working on as anyone who has attempted to produce a feature length narrative film can tell you. The only way (sane way at, any rate) to get everything done is to assemble a dedicated team. I use the word dedicated because we are not just seeking out talented people, but also those that will make the project their own.

We started with a team of three: Vincent Barnard (Writer, Director), Craig Inzana (Assistant Director), and Ryan Haggerty (Director of Photography, me). In addition to our respective production departments, we are all also taking on producing responsibilities. Vincent has worked tirelessly to create and revise the budget. Craig is currently lining up an additional Pittsburgh information session. I am setting up meetings with theaters to discuss distribution for 2016. As I said, there is always something to be done.

We have been fortunate enough to meet some super talented and passionate people to add to our growing team. Rachel Bertrand has been brought on to head up our production design department. Rachel is an expert props builder, set builder, and has served as a Props Maker at both the Idaho Shakespeare Festival and Great Lakes Theater Festival. We are looking forward to adding her style to the look of the film.

Next up, we have Trevor Hallinan taking on audio as our Sound Mixer. Trevor has lent his ear to many productions, including short films, web series, documentaries, and features. He has also done his fair share of producing, and had his project Devilry selected as on of five student film to be screened in Los Angeles as part of the the Point Park Cinema Showcase. His film and specifically audio talents are a welcome addition to our production.
Rounding out our crew is our Casting Director, Scott Sullivan, an accomplished actor in his own right. Scott also most recently served as producer on his documentary Tracing Outlines at the Three Rivers Arts Festival. Be sure to check out his listings for our casting call over on the Casting Pitt.
What is next? We have investors who have financially committed to the project and are building on this interest with a Pittsburgh pitch sessions in Pittsburgh and Port Allegany taking place in August. Casting calls are taking place in August as well as some follow up location scouts. Subscribe to this site or our Facebook and Twitter pages to find out more.

In the meantime, enjoy this video of our DuBois, PA pitch session that took place at the Winkler Gallery Fine Art and Education Center.
